Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 lands August 27
MGS4, Peace Walker and Ghost Babel bundled together, targeting 60fps on PS5, Xbox Series, PC and Switch 2.
Konami has confirmed the lineup and release date for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2: August 27, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Switch, and Switch 2. Physical and digital pre-orders opened alongside the announcement.
Three games, three eras
The collection bundles Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker — in the version sourced from the HD Collection — and Metal Gear: Ghost Babel, which has never been properly playable in the West until now.
The detail that matters: framerate
MGS4 and Peace Walker are targeting 60fps on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Switch 2. The original Switch version stays capped at 30fps — a hardware limit Konami is upfront about rather than a rushed port.
For players who never got to finish MGS4 properly outside of PS3, this is the first real chance to run it cleanly.
